(more…)
After the chest pain of the other day, the doc gave me these pills, which I don’t know if they’re doing good or bad. All in all, I still fell sick, and not in the mood to write. That’s too bad, because I’ve been watching some fine movies I’d like to write about: 2046, Ghost Dog, Angel Heart, and I also finished both reading and watching The Boys From Brazil. But as things are now, I’ll just watch movies and draw a bit (if you’ve not noticed, the upper left logo is slightly different and improved, and meta has also changed with a new logo for EOV). More writing soon.
If you’ve ever moved your fingers over an imaginary guitar while listening to some metal guitar solo, then you did Air Guitar. There are even international Air Guitar championships. But what if instead of pretending playing a guitar, you pretend doing something? The answer: Japanese Air Sex.
Yesterday early morning I had a heavy chest pain, and actually I spend all the morning in the hospital, taking tests and with my doctor. Later at night I felt much better, and this morning I was almost recovered. Until the basts of my building started to take down walls, I think in the house just beneath me. Something which doesn’t help me too much.
I just signed as affiliate of my host, MochaHost. I’ve placed a page about them in the About section, and a banner in the sidebar. I don’t think I’ll ever earn a buck, but maybe with enough time, it will allow me to pay part of my internet expenses. Not something I’m proud of, but somewhat needed and useful for me. Sorry for the ugliness!
Six years after Simmons finished The Fall of Hyperion, he published the third volume in the saga, this time a true sequel. The next year he published the second part, finishing the formation of what is know today as a tetralogy; although I think, and many agree, that these four books are two stories, and not three or four. Well, it seems the monitor is not definitely dead; it comes and goes, and I can do some stuff while it works (although painfully). I was able to write the second part of my Hyperion Cantos review, add a SPF record to my domain, and add a little feature for the site: in the sidebar you can see which song I’m listening to right now, if I’m using WinAmp. It uses yet another WordPress plugin, a WinAmp plugin, and some custom code I wrote (and which could be in the next onAirNow release).
My monitor went nuts, so I can’t barely use it. This means that I’ll not be using the computer much until I buy a new one, so the site will not have anything new until that miracle happens. See you.
I just finished the great saga of Hyperion Cantos, by Dan Simmons. It’s one of my favourite series, and over the years it has got awards and critic aknowledgment, even out of the science fiction genre. (more…)
(more…)
