Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time

In 2004, the famous music magazine Rolling Stone published a list of the 500 greatest songs of all time, according to votings from 170 people from the music industry. As with any top list, it’s entirely subjective, and I don’t agree with half of the list. Nonetheless, it’s a great compilation of timeless hits, although limited by its origin. Analyzing the list, there are no instrumental songs, and only one song not in english, with emphasis in rock, folk, swing, ballads, etc. and a complete absence of electronic, minimalistic or experimental music. No need to say that my top 500 list would be 90% different. In any case, getting the full compilation could be a good idea (I use µTorrent), although some of you might want to wait until I make one of those DVDs I do.

Command & Conquer for free

To celebrate the 12th anniversary of the series, EA is releasing the original Command & Conquer for free. Both the GDI and the Nod discs are available as ISO files, which can be burned into CDs, or mounted in virtual units with tools like Daemon Tools, UltraISO or Alcohol. Which IMHO it’s much more practical. There’s also documentation for making the game run under Windows XP. (more…)

The myth of salt

I’ve not been in a good mood.

And well, you can guess that the list of things I’ve not done is very extensive. I’ve not won lottery, I’ve not had sex, I’ve not broke any Guinness World Record…
