It’s not the first package I got from overseas this year; I got the Animusic and Animusic 2 DVDs from Chris in mid January (and I’ll have to write about them!) But this package deserves an instant mention. I got it from Bwlag (real name is confidential), a great guy who is helping me in my Links golf sim series collection. Since he spent a significant amount of money in acquiring items for dumping and preservation, I offered to buy some from him so he could recover a bit. However, as you can see in the side picture, he has sent me much more than I expected.
If you can see the brown box at the back, that’s the size of the package. Just by seeing that size I got speechless (well, I was alone, but if I weren’t, I would have been speechless). I opened it and discovered all the things you can see in the pic. First, a huge envelope containing the empty boxes of several Links Championship Courses, Links Trial Nine, and Links 386 Pro. Under the envelope, I found a large amount of non-empty boxes, and some CD cases. I haven’t checked yet the exact contents of each box, but as far as I can tell, this is the list of things I got:
Needless to say, I am absolutely impressed by the amount and quality of all he has sent. And certainly I doubt he has recovered any money with this transaction! Links has always been one of my favourite computer games, I’ve been playing it for years, probably since 1992. So I’m quite sentimentally attached to all this stuff, and I can finally say I have some of these games in original form. I specially appreciate the unopened box of Links: The Challenge Of Golf, which is a great collector item, and Links 2001 which is my favourite Links edition.
Thanks Bwlag for all this, and for the rest of you: Mwahahahaha, suffer from that green jealousy, green as the course fairways I have! Mwahahahahaha! (Vincent Price’s evil laugh style.)
