Here you can read some considerations about the site; while they aren’t instructions or orders, they might affect your perception of the site, or how you use it.
I don’t really want to be famous; to receive hundreds or thousands of visits of unknown people, coming here, saying how cute and then go away. Thus, I’m not advertising this site, trying to place it high in search ranks, making link farms or exchanging pingbacks with others. That doesn’t mean that I don’t welcome unknown, new visitors, just that I’m not actively hunting for them as other places.
My very first aim with this site is to keep all my writing in one place, while showing it to anyone who might be interested in it. A side effect of this is the fact that people can keep in touch with me, while I’m in touch with them indirectly.
Another thing I’d really want to get out of this site is feedback. If I got a comment or email telling me that this or that article was useful or interesting, I’d be happy. I’d really like that anyone reading my site would think that it was a positive experience, but well… I’d also want to know it!
And really, a good reason to have and mantain this site is… To not get bored!
You can participate here using the comments feature of WordPress. It’s simple, in each page or article, you can add a comment. While I understand that there’s something called speech freedom, and it’s a very important concept in everyone’s life, I don’t think it’s an absolute right. This is my site, so I will not allow certain kind of comments.
You can call it censorship, I call it sanitizing. You will not come here to tell me what I do admit and what I don’t in my own site. You will not come here to put racist comments, personal insults, stupid agendas or mindless blabbling. If I decide to delete a comment, it’s not my fault; more probably it’s yours. Don’t force me to do things I don’t like to do, and we’ll both be happy.
You can also add corrections, critics (they can be negative, but always constructive, please), propose me new links and stuff, and I’ll take a look.
You can also participate contacting me directly, and sending me an article you’d like posted here. The article can be original, an answer or enhancement to another article of mine, whatever. If I consider it interesting, I’ll post it here (with links to the related articles, if needed) and giving you full credit. However, I don’t guarantee you that I’ll publish your work: you need to try and see what happens.
I don’t mind if anyone copies or references my work somewhere else. But I’ve not placed my writings in the public domain, I retain the copyright. I chose to release my work under the
Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Licence. Consult such license for the details, but more or less it means:
Anyone is free to copy, quote or reference my work as long as these requirements are met:
Well, I wouldn’t mind at all to see some of my writings referenced in Wikipedia…
