MochaHost is the host I chose for my web. There were only two requirements when I was searching for web hosting. One was that it looked professional, with the usual basic support of PHP, MySQL, backups, FTP, email, and whatnot. The other requirement was that it could offer me a good hosting package, with enough space to play, for less than 50€ per year (about $68). There are many hosts which meet the first requirement, but not so many do meet the second.
MochaHost offered me a free domain (a special offer which ends this month) for life with anual payment of the $5 monthly fees. So for 45€ ($60) yearly, I’d get my own domain (I retain ownership of it), 5gb of space, 50gb monthly transfer, and all the usual bells & whistles. No hidden fees, no crap, no bullshit.
I’d like to mention that while not many hosts can meet my price limit, not all that are more expensive actually offer more. There are two kinds of these: some hosts offer the same specs or less (sometimes much less) for more money (sometimes much more), ones with outrageous prices, others with hidden fees or conditions. The other kind look unprofessional, apparently aimed at catching unexperienced users searching for their first host. On the other hand, hosts which were under my price limit offered very, very little, and I mean magnitudes of difference. MochaHost seemed to give the right stuff for the right price, with professionality.
One of the points which made me chose MochaHost is that they do have an awards page. Reading that MochaHost’s Customer Support Ranked #1 at HosTest.net made me think really positively about these guys. The last host I worked with had very unresponsive support. But at least MochaHost looked different. So I decided to try MochaHost.
Those are the looks of a product before you buy it, but what happens after you buy it and you are actually working with it? I’ll tell you that I am impressed. And I’m not really easily impressed when I spend money!
At first I had a few problems, but all of those can be explained with my actual inexperience and lack of solid knowledge about shared hosting. Once I got accustomed to the particularities of the server and EnSim Pro (I was used to Control Panel X), everything was smooth as silk. EnSim allows me to do some things that Control Panel X can’t, and the server is organized in a more professional way than my old one. And through that adaptation, I got excellent tech support, which saved me many headaches. I think the support was the feature which, for me, marks the difference.
So I’m writing all this for two reasons: One, to recommend you MochaHost as your hosting solution, due to their professionality, features, prices and support. And two, because I joined their affiliate program (selling my soul), so I get a small portion of the sales made through this site. I don’t intend to earn money, but if at some point, I can pay my internet expenses, or even just part of them, I’ll be very happy. So if you’re searching for a good host solution, I’ll recommend you MochaHost. And if you want to help me a little bit, then hire them through my links. Thank you very much.
